1. Program Description
The Beautiq SMS program enables Salons to send transactional text-message notifications to their customers regarding appointments booked with that Salon, including:
- Appointment confirmations — sent shortly after you book an appointment;
- Appointment reminders — sent in advance of your scheduled appointment, typically 24 hours and 2 hours before;
- Service updates — such as confirmation of cancellation or rescheduling at your request.
This program is registered with The Campaign Registry (TCR) as a transactional / customer-care use case. It is not a marketing program. You will not receive promotional or marketing messages through this program. Salons that wish to send marketing messages must do so under a separate, properly registered marketing campaign with explicit additional opt-in from you.
2. Program Name and Sending Identity
Each Salon registers its own brand with TCR through Beautiq. When you receive an SMS through this program, the message originates from a phone number registered to the specific Salon you booked with, not from Beautiq directly. The Salon's name will be included in each message so you can identify the sender.
3. How to Opt In
You opt in to receive SMS from a specific Salon by:
- (a) Entering your mobile phone number into the Salon's Beautiq-powered booking page; and
- (b) Checking the SMS consent checkbox, which is presented to you with the following disclosure (or substantively equivalent language): "I agree to receive SMS appointment confirmations and reminders from [Salon Name]. Message frequency varies based on my appointments. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to unsubscribe or HELP for help. See Privacy Policy and SMS Terms."
The checkbox is not pre-checked. You must affirmatively check the box to opt in. Submitting the booking without checking the SMS consent box will complete the booking but will not enroll you in SMS communications.
Your opt-in is specific to the Salon whose booking page you used. Opting in with one Salon does not enroll you in messaging from any other Salon or from Beautiq itself.
4. Message Frequency
Message frequency varies based on the number of appointments you book and your appointment scheduling. A typical appointment will result in up to three (3) messages: one confirmation, one 24-hour reminder, and one 2-hour reminder. You will not receive messages between scheduled appointments.
5. Cost
Message and data rates may apply based on your mobile plan with your wireless carrier. Beautiq and Salons do not charge you for these messages, but your carrier may charge you for sending or receiving SMS. Consult your wireless carrier for details about your plan's messaging charges.
6. How to Opt Out
You may opt out of SMS messages from a particular Salon at any time by replying to any message received from that Salon with any of the following keywords (case-insensitive):
STOP, UNSUBSCRIBE, CANCEL, END, QUIT
Upon receipt of an opt-out keyword, you will receive one final confirmation message acknowledging that you have unsubscribed, and you will not receive further SMS from that Salon through this program.
Opt-out is per Salon. If you wish to opt out of SMS from multiple Salons, you must reply STOP (or another opt-out keyword) to a message from each Salon individually.
To re-enroll after opting out, you may reply with START or UNSTOP, or re-opt in through the Salon's booking page.
7. How to Get Help
You may obtain help by replying HELP to any message you receive through this program. You will receive a response containing the Salon's name and contact information, plus a reminder of how to opt out.

8. Supported Carriers
This program is compatible with the following U.S. mobile carriers, including but not limited to:
AT&T, T-Mobile, Verizon Wireless, Sprint, Boost Mobile, Cricket Wireless, Metro by T-Mobile, U.S. Cellular, Virgin Mobile, and most other major U.S. carriers and their MVNOs.
This program is intended only for users of U.S.-based mobile numbers. We do not currently support international messaging.
9. Carrier Disclaimer
Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. Mobile carriers may, from time to time, delay, filter, or block messages for reasons including network conditions, recipient device status, carrier policy, or anti-spam measures. Neither Beautiq nor any Salon guarantees that any particular message will be delivered. Delivery is provided on a best-effort basis through standard carrier channels.
10. Your Information and Privacy
When you opt in to SMS, the Salon — supported by Beautiq's technology — collects and processes:
- Your mobile phone number;
- The date, time, and content of the opt-in (the exact disclosure shown and the timestamp of your acceptance);
- A record of messages sent to you and delivery statuses;
- Any opt-out actions you take.
Mobile information will not be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Information sharing with third parties strictly necessary to operate the SMS program — such as Beautiq's licensed messaging providers and U.S. mobile carriers responsible for delivering the messages — is excluded from this restriction.

11. Your Rights
You have the right to:
- Withdraw consent at any time by following the opt-out instructions in Section 6;
- Request a copy of your opt-in record and message history from the Salon;
- Request deletion of your information, subject to the Salon's and Beautiq's legal record-retention obligations;
- Exercise additional rights available to you under applicable state law (including but not limited to the California Consumer Privacy Act, where applicable).

12. Changes to These SMS Terms
Beautiq may update these SMS Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated through the Beautiq platform and, where appropriate, by SMS notification (which itself will respect your opt-in/opt-out status). The "Last Updated" date at the top of this document indicates the most recent revision. Continued participation in the SMS program after an update constitutes acceptance of the updated SMS Terms.
